Database Administrator/Engineer - SQL, Oracle, Sybase, MS-SQL

Technical and consultancy DBA skills (primarily SQL/Oracle, secondary Sybase and MS-SQL server) in relation to Symantec Data Loss Prevention (DLP) solution for database scanning for Central Risk Services.
Task & Responsibilities:

Staging and configuration and general maintenance tasks of project databases under management of Central Database Services and as per Database Services standards

SQL scripting & general queries against diverse database schemas ( Oracle / Sybase / MS-SQL )

Data analysis and data mining queries related to the scanning solution.
System table analysis ( particular system catalogue relating to data tables and columns )

Shell scripting - ability to understand existing scripts, enhance and write basic scripts from scratch

Performance and Tuning skills ( in association with Database Engineering and Symatec experts )
Ideally:

Primary on site technical contact point for all
database issues related to the IT Risk project

Attend project meetings as the representative for all database areas

Work closely with the UBS DLP engineering and RTB teams.

Maintain database related documentation and recommendations throughout the pilot

Escalate issues which cannot be resolved to the Database Engineering, Symantect or IT Risk experts.

Required Experience / Skills:
- Very good knowledge of Oracle 9i, 10g and 11g - Strong skills in Performance Tuning - Sybase and MS-SQL Server secondary skills preferred
- Strong operations knowledge and Service Delivery experience - Retail and Investment banking experience - Excellent Team Player
