We've opened an office in Singapore
07 April 2011
Nicoll Curtin started trading in Singapore on 5th April 2011 after opening an office in the central business district. Expansion into Singapore will enable us to build on our well established UK and European banking offer, serving a client base of major investment banks and financial services institutions.
Our research identified a strong demand for accomplished technologists with financial services experience in Singapore. The current positive economic climate coupled with the government’s incentive program to fuel business growth were also factors in the decision to expand.
Managing Director Lawrence Hargreaves is anticipating a strong performance from the office in its first year of trading. He said:-
“Banks are increasingly taking a global view on hiring requirements, and want to partner with recruitment consultancies that can consistently deliver quality candidates across all areas of the business and multiple locations.”
Lawrence will be based in Singapore to oversee the first month of trading.
The Singapore operation will be led by Georgina Parker, Associate Director and Jake Bridge, Delivery Manager, who previously held key roles in the company’s London head office. They have an initial staff of two local consultants, and will be seeking to hire two further experienced consultants in the first three months of operation.
Georgina Parker said:-
“This is a fantastic opportunity for Nicoll Curtin to expand our offer in order to meet our clients’ requirements in Singapore and the Asia Pacific region. It’s because of our excellent reputation and the strength of our delivery into the banking sector in the UK and Europe that we are confident of their support as we expand into new markets.”
Nicoll Curtin’s Singapore office will offer contingency recruitment services, placing permanent and contract technology experts for a portfolio of global investment banks and asset management companies.
