Subject Matter Expert / Infrastructure Engineer


Location: Zurich, Switzerland (On-site Role)

Contract: Initial Contract until 31.12.2023

Compensation: 800 CHF per day

· Drive operations and continuous improvement of infrastructure solutions, specializing in monitoring and managing file transfer technologies.

· Engineer custom solutions for internal customers, leveraging your expertise in various scripting languages and CLI interfaces.

· Support process automation initiatives to enhance value for our internal customers.

· Perform hands-on software configuration and lifecycle tasks.

· Provide 7x24h on-call service for system management infrastructure, serving as the Single Point of Contact (SPOC).

· Handle general inquiries, offering prompt and efficient support.


Experience and Skills:

· Extensive experience in Monitoring (IBM monitoring - IBM Tivoli / Omnibus) and File Transfer engineering and operations.

· High proficiency in Windows/Linux operating systems and Oracle databases.

· Strong scripting language skills in Windows PowerShell, Bash, and Perl.

· Knowledge and experience in cloud and container technologies.



· Degree in Computer Science, Technical College, University of Applied Sciences, or equivalent.

· ITIL Foundation Certification.


Soft Skills:

· Quick and analytical thinking, enabling efficient problem-solving.

· Structured approach and organizational talent to ensure smooth operations.

· Fast learner, adapting to new technologies and processes with ease.

· Fluent in German and English, as this role requires excellent communication skills in both languages.


On-Call Service:

· On-call service is required for one week, every six weeks.
