Manager - Systems and Infrastructure (Trading)

This is a permanent position. We're looking for an experienced Engineering Manager or Team Leader specialising in trading systems and platform infrastructure. In this role, you will shape and execute the infrastructure roadmap, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.

Your focus will be on architecting and deploying scalable, low-latency solutions to support high-frequency trading operations. Overseeing integration of on-premises systems and cloud environments. Managing the on-premises infrastructure, including data centers and exchange colocation sites.

Additionally, you will establish robust incident management protocols to guarantee 24/7 system availability while driving the adoption of automation and advanced monitoring tools to minimize downtime and operational overhead. Continuously optimizing performance, cost efficiency, and operational effectiveness across the infrastructure stack will be central to your mission.

Requirements

• Current or prior team leader/manager with expertise in high-frequency trading environments
• Hands on experience in Linux systems, DevOps tools, Terraform or Ansible, Kubernetes, SRE tools
• Expertise in low-latency networks, switches and routers.
• Active development skills in programming languages such as Golang, Python, or Rust.

Qualifications:

This is a permanent position within the Financial Services Space. We are looking for mid-to-senior level candidates with a blend of experience in Security Engineering/Operations, DevSecOps and Cloud Security (Azure).

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage secure Azure cloud architectures to protect sensitive data and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Integrate security practices into CI/CD pipelines, automate security testing, and ensure secure software delivery processes.
• Monitor, investigate, and respond to security incidents within cloud environments. Deploy and manage SIEM tools, vulnerability management systems, and threat detection solutions.

Requirements

• Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience.

• Hands-on experience with IaC, DevSecOps tools and processes
• Familiarity with security frameworks (e.g., MITRE ATT&CK, OWASP).
• Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell) for automation and security scripting.

This is a permanent position with a global consultancy and sits at a senior/director level. As an individual contributor, you will play a pivotal role in building out and enhancing their cyber security practice, leveraging your deep technical expertise and strong consultancy background to drive their business forward. This role requires someone with deep technical knowledge ideally having been an engineer or leading engineering teams previously.

Responsibilities

• Establish and drive the strategy for cyber security solutions across the APAC region. Understand regional nuances and develop tailored solutions that address specific market needs.
• Collaborate with global and regional teams to design and refine cyber security offerings. Ensure that solutions are both innovative and aligned with current and emerging security trends.
• Engage with C-level executives across potential and existing client organizations, particularly within the financial services sector, to understand their security challenges and propose bespoke solutions.
• Work closely with the sales team to identify business opportunities, participate in client pitches, and deliver compelling demonstrations and presentations that clearly articulate the value proposition of our solutions.
• Position yourself as a thought leader in the cyber security domain by speaking at industry conferences, publishing whitepapers, and conducting webinars.
• Play a critical role in the hiring, mentoring, and development of future team members as the practice grows. Cultivate a culture of excellence and continuous improvement within the team.
• Provide technical guidance and support to both clients and internal teams. Stay abreast of technological advancements and cybersecurity threats to keep our offerings at the cutting edge.

Qualification

• Minimum of 15 years in IT and Security, with at least 5 years in a consultancy role. Proven track record of engaging with C-level executives, ideally within the financial services industry.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Security, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. Relevant professional certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CEH) are preferred.
• Strong foundational knowledge in cyber security methodologies and technologies.
• Experience in designing and implementing security solutions across various platforms and environments.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. Ability to articulate complex security concepts to a variety of audiences, from technical experts to non-technical decision-makers.
• Proven leadership skills with the ability to operate independently in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. Experience in leading cross-functional teams and projects is highly desirable.
