Do you take pride in doing a great job as a Site Reliability Engineer in the database area? Are you interested in working with cutting edge technology? Would you like to be challenged and continue your experience in large, complex data environments? Are you interested in joining a newly built team within a multinational? Are you a global citizen and enjoy supporting clients and partners across Europe? If so, this could be the perfect datastore role for you.
You will be joining this newly formed team and be responsible for driving the digitalisation process, by setting up and delivering various databases across multiple environments in a distributed infrastructure. Apart from providing top class service to users in the databases’ reliability, performance and availability areas, there is a focus on configuration management and automation of the systems.
In order to be considered for this highly exposed, key role, technically you are an experienced Site Reliability Engineer, well versed in databases, with a sound knowledge of Oracle (and other DBs like NoSQL, mySQL, MongoDB), AWS and cloud computing. You have a mindset for the cloud and have gained good experience in automation. Scripting, ideally advanced bash, and some programming knowledge such as Python, or some other C/C++ like language, and either CQRS or sharding experience would be a plus. Equally as important are your soft skills: you are a conceptual thinker and able to identify new opportunities and anticipate future challenges. You love technology and want to be at the pulse to make a difference.
