Our client is looking for a Finance Solution Manager for their Global Finance Projects and Systems Team that looks after all M&A integration projects, JV Finance Operating models globally, as well as Finance Transformation Projects and System Support.

You will be defining processes, solutions, roles & responsibilities, system functionalities, and managing implementation for all these aspects. Your success will depend on your ability to demonstrate expertise and understanding of current operating models and develop a roadmap of activities for their enhancement as well as extension to new JVs.

Your key activities will be as follows -

Provide support to Programme Development plans (new JVs, new Sites), this includes:

  • Reviewing JV and commercial agreement, identifying requirements impacting Finance and ensuring legal arrangements can be supported with standard processes.
  • Designing a Finance Operating Model toolkit for each individual JVs and update central documentation to include the additional JVs processes and exceptions.
  • Liaising with each Finance track to define system requirements, preparing Business Requirements Documentation (BRD) collaborating with IT and supporting stakeholders in reaching an agreement on system solutions.
  • Managing and prioritizing IT delivery, including Synchronizing User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities
  • Preparing and driving the JV or site close cut-over activities, from planning to execution and closure. Ensuring system controls and validations are incorporated and monitoring timely execution of all stakeholders.
  • Provide support to all Finance areas in the adoption and compliance to agreed processes.

Provide Ongoing support to Existing JVs, this includes

  • Support the teams in issue resolution in the daily operations of the JV
  • Identify areas of improvement in Operating Model and suggest solutions in collaboration with each Finance Track
  • Maintain, Develop and Promote the Finance Operating Model documentation, so that stakeholders are always kept abreast of how things work 
  • Act as gatekeeper to maintaining Standard processes within the organization across JVs and countries, thus guiding stakeholders through most optimal solution for consistency and minimum deviation to standards
  • Project Manage the execution of implementation plans on agreed solutions

Support to Management:

  • Contribute to identification of system solution or new system implementation as required based on Management directions
  • Participate to cross-functional process discussions to represent Finance and perform identified activities

Ad-hoc activities on other JV projects:

  • On an ad-hoc basis, lead or provide support to other JV projects (non-programme) or other Finance projects.

What our client is looking for -

  • Recognized Finance Qualification (ACCA, CIMA, ACA, etc.)
  • Project Management certification is a plus
  • At least 10 years of experience working in Finance roles, including minimum 5 years of experience in Integration or Transformation
  • Multinational experience
  • Experience with both IFRS and US GAAP is ideal
  • Extensive experience in process design and implementation, interacting with a large population of stakeholders
  • Strong communication skills – both in person and remotely
  • Demonstrated problem solving skills, attention to details, and rigor in methodology
