My client - a global finance and payments business use the most advanced finance technology and apps which have helped them secure their position as one of the world’s leading fs companies.
This industry is one of the most attacked by Cyber Criminals, the financial services industry is widely considered as the most attacked industry there is. Financially motivated cyber threats and attackers make this space a battleground between the attackers and the defenders this really is a front line role defending the business from devastating Cyber-attacks – if this is something you are passionate about and that interests you this busy new SOC role will suit perfectly.
No 2 days are the same in this team, the workload here is exciting and varied, this is a busy SOC setup and the right candidate will be able to have an impact right away.
You will need to be someone who thrives in an exciting working environment.
You will be joining an experienced team who work with an abundance of SIEM tools and the most up to date technology – as part of a global company spending on tools and tech is not out of reach.
There is currently no Shift pattern in this role and due to Covid-19 the Security team are currently working from home – however the eventual base for this role will be in Hertfordshire 5 days a week.
pThis is a great role for an experience Security Operations Centre – SOC Specialist. The right candidate will have experience in a global company and part of a busy SOC where they are not just passing off incidents but understanding and acting on them, this is not a role where a lot of hand holding / onboarding will occur – this really is a busy role from day 1. Your background will clearly demonstrate a depth of SOC lifecycle experience - preferably at a global business.
The whole security team work in an exciting, collaborative working environment performing forensic analysis as well as reversing malware + responding to cyber security incidents.
- Clear SOC experience
- A Minimum of 3 years in a mission critical SOC team
- Excellent communication skills – you will be talking to several different business areas.
- Excellent organization skills.
- Background in leading multi discipline Cyber Incident Response
- Knowledge of Industry best practices
- Transferring hard to understand cyber topics and events into easy to understand language to non-technical users .
This is not a junior position, real world experience is essential for this – a global SOC background – a hands on SOC specialist.
