Vendor Manager

S$100000 - S$120000.00 per annum + Bonus & Benefits

  • Responsible for managing the global portfolio of IT contracts for the CIO Group Enterprise Functions team, spanning hardware, software and IT professional services, the role holder is responsible for:
  • Managing and governing the end-to-end contract lifecycle (including new demand, negotiation, change), initiating, tracking and monitoring contract changes, deliverables, correspondence and risks, and maintaining associated documentation.
  • Ensuring the management of third party suppliers in accordance with company policies and procedures, applicable laws, and technology requirements.
  • Providing advice on contract and third party supplier management and policy compliance matters, including service level agreements, financials and governance.

My client are looking for;

  • Proven track record of success working in a similar role (preferably in IT and/or financial services), including experience in: contract negotiation with third parties on financials and legal terms; understanding, interpreting and drawing conclusions from contractual terms; implementing and managing complex, global vendor arrangements and multi-country, multi-legal domain contracts; managing multi-national vendors; expertise in outsourcing and offshoring methodologies, contracts and commercial models; defining and implementing vendor management processes, controls and reporting; setting and delivering to key performance indicators.
  • Strong market knowledge and understanding of the operational environment, processes, and risk management / controls needed to execute requirements. Sound knowledge of the technology vendor landscape would be a strong advantage.
  • Strong financial management and commercial skills.
  • Strong relationship management experience and excellent influencing and negotiation skills, with a proven ability to interact with people at all levels, cultivating trusted advisor working relationships. Comfortable to ‘push back’ and challenge. Takes the initiative and effectively deals with resistance. Handles sensitive matters with discretion and confidentiality.
  • Proven ability to prioritise an extensive and complex set of issues, seeing the ‘big picture’ and thinking conceptually, whilst simultaneously having very close attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills – oral and written.
  • Proven ability to make balanced and careful judgements and decisions. Uses initiative to anticipate needs, solve problems and find better ways of working.
  • Excellent organisational, time management and administration skills. Tracks progress on a wide range of tasks and follows through on items to completion. Pragmatic, customer-focused approach. Reliable and takes ownership to deliver, with a high level of flexibility. Proactive and willing to go the extra mile.
  • Excellent analytical and numerical skills. Proven ability to produce detailed and accurate reports and forecasts. Proficiency in MS Excel.
  • Confident and self-motivated, with a flexible, can-do attitude. Highly disciplined and deadline focused, with a proven ability to learn quickly and work on assignments independently and hit the ground running.
  • Works well under pressure. High level of resilience and emotional intelligence to remain calm and focused on outcomes during periods of flux and changing requirements.
  • A team player; multi-culturally aware with proven success in working effectively with geographically dispersed teams.
