We are looking for a Data Scientist to join our client, a leading financial institution in Zurich.

This is a contracting role with the initial duration until 31.03.2026.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to data science and business intelligence projects, particularly in regulatory reporting.
  • Collaborate with senior stakeholders to deliver effective analytical solutions.
  • Maintain thorough and accurate documentation.
  • Evaluate and manage business change requests.
  • Perform both regular and ad-hoc data analyses and reporting.
  • Support the design, development, validation, and monitoring of compliance models and controls.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Extensive banking experience, particularly in Compliance, Risk Management, or Legal functions.
  • At least 3 years of experience as a Data Science, preferably in a project-based environment.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in STEM fields (science, technology, engineering, mathematics).
  • Strong database programming skills (e.g. SQL).
  • Proficient in programming (e.g. Python).
  • Fluency in English.

Your tasks
  • Datasets and data pipelines preparation, support for Business, data troubleshooting.
  • Develop XML based ingestion pipeline into Data Platform using Hive/S3.
  • Develop IBM MQ native based schemaless data ingestion.

Your profile
  • Hands-on Big Data experience using common open source components (Hadoop, Hive, Spark, Trino, Airflow/NiFi, MinIO, K8S, Kafka).
  • Expert SQL skills, preferably in mixed environments (i.e. classic DWH and distributed).
  • Knowledge of Banking data products / financial sector.
  • Solid knowledge around financial data classification / sensitivity.

Django Developer

In this role, you will collaborate closely with the team and engage directly with customers to implement advanced e-business projects. Data Engineer

We are seeking a Data Engineer responsible for designing and creating technical solutions based on professional requirements within asset system landscape. Your role involves developing new and optimizing existing solutions, as well as automating data processes to enhance efficiency.

You will implement data automation using ETL/ELT processes, develop technical specifications for standardized data integrations, and manage the data warehouse. Additionally, you will oversee the technical structure of assets, including data classification and modeling in collaboration with experts.
