Senior Copilot Dev

  • United States of America
  • USD 60 Hourly
  • Contract
The Senior Power Platform & Copilot Studio Developer role is an individual contributor position responsible for designing, building, and operationalizing enterprise‐grade AI agents and automation solutions that deliver measurable business outcomes.
This role operates at a mid‐to‐senior level, applying deep Power Platform and integration expertise to shape solution design, define reusable patterns, and implement scalable agent‐based workflows. The developer serves as a trusted technical partner to business stakeholders, product owners, platform teams, and enterprise architecture, ensuring solutions are secure, compliant, resilient, and aligned with long‐term platform strategy.
The primary focus of this role is agent development and orchestration using Copilot Studio and Power Automate , with Dataverse providing durable state and auditability. While conversational experiences are front‐facing, the candidate is expected to design and support solutions across all application tiers , including integration, data, and automation layers.
Key Responsibilities
  • Design, build, and maintain Client Copilot Studio agents , including topic modeling, dialog orchestration, action invocation, fallback strategies, and controlled handoff patterns.
  • Own and implement end‐to‐end agent solutions spanning Teams experience, Power Automate workflows, Dataverse data models, and enterprise system integrations.
  • Translate business workflows, regulatory constraints, and operational requirements into durable agent and automation designs , covering functional and non‐functional requirements.
  • Develop complex Power Automate cloud flows incorporating orchestration logic, error handling, retries, and long‐running operations.
  • Design and manage Dataverse data models to support agent state, case/session context, results, and auditability.
  • Define and apply integration patterns using standard connectors, custom connectors, and REST APIs across internal and external systems.
  • Participate in and contribute to design and solution reviews , identifying trade‐offs, risks, and opportunities for standardization and reuse.
  • Establish reusable flow templates, agent patterns, and Dataverse conventions that improve consistency, scalability, and time‐to‐value across agent solutions.

Core Skills
  • Client Copilot Studio agent development
  • Power Automate workflow orchestration and automation engineering
  • Dataverse data modeling, relationships, security roles, and business rules
  • Enterprise integration patterns and API‐based system connectivity
  • Low‐code / pro‐code hybrid solution design
  • Error handling, resiliency, and operational supportability patterns
  • Solution documentation, design review, and technical communication
  • Enterprise security, governance, and compliance awareness

Minimum Years of Experience
  • 5–8+ years delivering enterprise technology solutions
  • 3–5+ years hands‐on experience with Client Power Platform (Power Automate, Dataverse, Power Apps and/or Copilot Studio)

Required Qualifications
  • Demonstrated experience building production‐grade Power Platform solutions , including Copilot Studio agents and complex Power Automate flows.
  • Strong experience designing end‐to‐end workflows that integrate multiple systems and persist durable state using Dataverse.
  • Proven ability to model data and solution behavior with enterprise qualities in mind, including security, auditability, performance, reliability, and scalability .
  • Experience integrating with enterprise systems using connectors, REST APIs, and structured payloads; familiarity with custom connector patterns preferred.
  • Ability to influence solution quality and technical outcomes through standards, guidance, and review—without direct sprint or delivery ownership.
