Overview
We are looking for an experienced Data Risk & Compliance leader to drive enterprise-wide alignment with BCBS 239 standards. A critical part in strengthening risk data governance, enhancing reporting capabilities, and ensuring compliance with regulatory expectations.

The successful candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams across Risk, Finance, Technology, and Compliance to deliver robust data governance frameworks and support regulatory initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the development, implementation, and ongoing enhancement of BCBS 239-compliant frameworks, including data governance, risk data aggregation, reporting, and controls.
  • Establish and manage a comprehensive data risk framework, addressing risks related to data quality, lineage, aggregation, and reporting.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across Data Governance, Risk, Finance, and Technology to implement effective controls over critical data elements, ensuring full traceability and transparency.
  • Oversee risk data aggregation and reporting processes to ensure accuracy, completeness, timeliness, and regulatory compliance.
  • Act as a subject matter expert for BCBS 239, providing guidance on regulatory audits, remediation efforts, and enterprise data transformation initiatives.


Required Skills & Experience
  • 10+ years of experience in data risk, data governance, regulatory compliance, or related areas within financial services.
  • Strong understanding of BCBS 239 principles, including risk data aggregation, data quality, lineage, and reporting frameworks.
  • Demonstrated ability to engage senior stakeholders, regulators, and audit teams, while leading complex cross-functional initiatives.
  • Solid knowledge of data architecture, data lineage tools, data quality platforms, and governance best practices.


Education & Certifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Risk Management, Information Systems, Data Management, or a related discipline.
  • Professional certifications such as FRM, PRM, DCAM, or DAMA are advantageous.
