A large global financial institution is looking for an M365 Copilot SME to lead the engineering, configuration, and governance of Copilot capabilities across its Microsoft 365 environment.

The organization operates across multiple countries and regions, with a strong focus on security, compliance, and responsible AI adoption. This role sits at the intersection of AI enablement, enterprise architecture, and end-user productivity.

This is an initial 12-month onsite contract role in Hong Kong.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, build, and govern Copilot and agent solutions using Copilot Studio, including prompt design, knowledge grounding, and publishing controls

• Automate workflows and processes using Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps, Dataverse) to complement Copilot use cases

About the job

We're looking for an autonomous back-end developer to own the engineering layer behind a Sales Performance Dashboard for a banking and financial services client, with particular emphasis on wealth management. This sits inside the Data & Analytics group, but it is an engineering build, not an analytics seat: the focus is shipping microservices and APIs that surface governed, entitlement-controlled data to dashboards and other consuming systems. The right candidate is comfortable navigating a layered bank data environment, owns problems end-to-end, and can turn shifting business asks into secure, production-grade technical solutions.

What You'll Be Doing

Backend & Microservices Engineering

• Architect, build, and operate the microservices layer that drives sales performance reporting
• Build secure, scalable REST APIs that connect this platform to other internal systems
• Hold services to production standards: performance, reliability, monitoring/observability, and clean operational practices

Data Ecosystem & Integration

• Partner with business and technical stakeholders to map how data moves end-to-end, including frontline workflows and finance-aligned metric definitions
• Connect to upstream and downstream sources, and help troubleshoot data quality issues affecting reporting
• Tune queries and access patterns so analytics/reporting workloads run efficiently in a banking context

Security, Access & Governance

What We're Looking For

Experience

Technical Skills

Data & Platform Fundamentals

You'll primarily work across three areas: shaping and reviewing how local processes are designed and documented, driving change management so adoption actually happens, and keeping governance tight so nothing gets lost between global and local.

Day to day, you'll be:

• Presenting process templates and methodology to local teams, then reviewing what they produce — checking for completeness, consistency, and the right level of detail
• Preparing and running local design workshops and post-playback configuration validation sessions
• Consolidating playback outputs and chasing open points until they're closed
• Maintaining the L4 Process Book, capturing local roles, interfaces, and any approved deviations from the global standard
• Running and refining Change Impact Assessments and building out the local Change Management Plan — covering communications, training, and readiness
• Preparing materials for local change activities and working alongside local Change Leads to get them executed
• Participating in weekly territory governance, tracking actions and decisions, and escalating risks or key decisions to the global programme when needed

You'll be a strong fit if you have:

• Solid experience on enterprise transformation programmes — ERP rollouts or similar global process standardisation work

This team is responsible for monitoring and securing activity across critical database platforms. The role involves designing, implementing, and maintaining database monitoring solutions across a global environment.

Requirements:

• Experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases (e.g. Oracle, SQL Server, MongoDB, MySQL, Cassandra, cloud-managed databases)
• Strong understanding of database security principles and best practices
• Experience with database security tools (e.g. IBM Guardium or similar) is an advantage
