My client is a leading Global DeFi proprietary trading firm that prides itself on its state-of-the-art Technology and Infrastructure as well as its rigorous Mathematical approach to portfolio construction and trading.  They are seeking an experienced Quant/HF Trader experienced in researching signals, building alpha-models, developing and executing strategies to lead the research, development, deployment, and execution of various high-frequency, market-neutral trading strategies.

Responsibilities
  • Design, implement, and refine on-chain trading strategies, reducing latency to improve tick-to-trade to fill orders.
  • Conduct thorough market analysis to identify trading opportunities, leveraging data from blockchain networks and decentralised exchanges.
  • Build real-time, automated trading algorithms that interact directly with smart contracts and decentralised protocols.
  • Leverage custom datasets and analytics tooling to guide model development and execution logic.
  • Deploy robust risk frameworks to ensure capital efficiency and downside protection in volatile markets. 
  • Work closely with other traders, developers, and data scientists to enhance trading models, share insights, and drive collective success.

Requirements
  • Excellent academic record from a highly reputable university, Masters or PhD preferred, in Mathematics, Physics, Operational Research or related fields of study.
  • Minimum 8 years’ experience in Quantitative Trading, preferably in a market-making or latency-sensitive context. Quant Strats with Delta-Neutral, Delta 1, Vol, and Market Making background are desired too.
  • Does not need to be Crypto, but they need to be willing to move into it.
  • Strong programming skills in Python and TypeScript, Rust skills and experience will be highly advantageous. A familiarity with Solidity and smart contracts is a plus.
  • Curiosity and conviction about crypto and decentralised markets, immediate experience in crypto is a plus, not essential, but a willingness to move into the space is.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to identifying and exploiting trading opportunities.
  • Ability to quickly adapt to new technologies and evolving market structures, and to collaborate effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

My client, a leading regional financial institution, is seeking a Senior Quant Risk Analyst with deep experience in Risk Analytics to join their expanding team in Hong Kong. The team is responsible for providing Governance and Risk guidelines on new product/service launch, methodology changes and model reviews. Reporting to the Head of Quantitative Risk Management, you will be responsible for the following:
 

Responsibilities
 

  • Develop, implement, and maintain risk analytical models, particularly VaR/ES Models, to measure and monitor risks across the organisation.
  • Analyse and interpret market data to identify trends and potential risks
  • Collaborate closely with IT/Quant Development, Risk Management and Business Analysis teams, as well as other stakeholders, to provide risk-related insights on Derivative positions.
  • Work hand-in-hand with the overall Risk department to ensure alignment of risk metrics and methodologies across the organisation
  • Analyse portfolio risk metrics and conduct stress testing to assess the impact of potential market scenarios on the portfolio, providing regular reports to senior management
  • Ensure that the team is regularly producing high-quality documentation in line with organisational standards.


Requirements

  • Highly analytical and detail-oriented with a Masters/PhD degree in a Quantitative field (Physics, Mathematics, Financial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Statistics, etc.)
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in financial markets, with hands-on expertise in Derivatives Pricing and Risk modelling.
  • Solid Market and/or Liquidity Risk Management experience from a reputable financial institution.
  • In-depth understanding of financial and investment products, related risk factors, and trading dynamics

Given the nature of their work, there is containerization using Docker & Kubernetes and their cloud provider is AWS.

As part of this team you will get the best of both worlds in the sense that you will work for a large well funded firm, but get to operate without as much of the classic red tape associated with a large environment.

The company has a very flexible work from home policy, you are expected to be available to come to the office when needed but otherwise are flexible. 

You will ideally speak fluent German, however candidates will be considered without the language skills.
