Role Overview

This position focuses on designing, deploying, and maintaining robust cloud environments and automated delivery pipelines. You will be responsible for creating reliable system architectures, operationalizing cloud infrastructure, and guiding client teams on modern technical practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Architectural Documentation: Create and continuously maintain clear technical blueprints and system topologies.

  • Environment Provisioning: Build and manage scalable staging and live environments utilizing declarative infrastructure tools.

  • Pipeline Engineering: Design, implement, and secure automated continuous integration and deployment workflows.

  • Third-Party Integration: Facilitate and support seamless API and external software connections.

Technical Qualifications

  • Operating Systems: Practical familiarity with Linux system administration and command-line management.

  • Networking & Security: Baseline knowledge of core network protocols, access controls, and security best practices.

  • Automation & Scripting: Ability to write foundational scripts (e.g., Bash or Python) to automate routine tasks.

  • Infrastructure Automation: Exposure to configuration management and infrastructure provisioners, specifically Terraform and Ansible.

  • Continuous Delivery: Functional understanding of modern CI/CD orchestration tools.

  • Cloud Platforms: Fundamental working knowledge of Amazon Web Services (AWS) services and concepts.

A growing regional organization is looking for a Head of Strategic Sourcing to lead procurement strategy across its different businesses. Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, this person will oversee major spending across technology, operational equipment, logistics and corporate services.

The role will focus on reducing costs, improving supplier performance, managing commercial risk and creating consistent procurement standards across the group.

 

PREFERABLY REQUIRE PRIOR EXPERIENCE SUPPORTING STRATEGIC SOURCING FOR DATA CENTER OPERATIONS.

 

Responsibilities

  • Develop sourcing strategies across technology, operations and corporate-service categories.
  • Lead supplier selection, tenders, proposal evaluations and commercial negotiations.
  • Negotiate pricing, payment terms, service commitments and long-term supplier agreements.
  • Analyse company-wide spending to identify savings, consolidation and cost-avoidance opportunities.
  • Build strategic relationships with key suppliers and conduct regular performance reviews.
  • Track supplier delivery, quality and service levels, and address any performance issues.
  • Identify supplier and supply-chain risks and establish suitable contingency plans.
  • Introduce consistent procurement policies, approval processes and spending controls.

Requirements

  • At least 10 years of experience in procurement, strategic sourcing or supply chain management.
  • At least five years of experience in a leadership position.
  • Experience managing procurement within a regional or multinational organization.
  • Strong track record of negotiating high-value commercial agreements.
  • Experience developing sourcing strategies across multiple spending categories.
  • Strong knowledge of supplier management, contract negotiation, cost optimization and procurement governance.
  • Ability to analyze spending, supplier and financial data to support commercial decisions.
  • Experience using procurement systems, ERP platforms, Excel and business-intelligence tools.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Procurement, Finance, Engineering or a related discipline.
