A major SAP S/4HANA implementation programme in Indonesia is looking for SAP ABAP Developer Associates to join the custom development team. This is an entry-level consulting role — you will work under the guidance of Senior Associates and the ABAP Manager to develop assigned objects, learn PwC's delivery standards, and build the foundations of a consulting career in SAP technical delivery.
Key responsibilities:
- Develop assigned ABAP objects — reports, enhancements (BAdIs, user exits), forms, and interfaces — following Clean Core principles and OOP standards
- Execute unit testing and document results against provided technical specifications
- Support functional consultants during system integration testing (SIT) and user acceptance testing (UAT)
- Participate in daily stand-ups and explain task progress to the ABAP Manager and functional leads
- Follow SAP transport management procedures on the project landscape
- Participate in code reviews and act on feedback from senior developers
- Raise blockers and scope questions proactively rather than proceeding with assumptions
Requirements:
- 0–2 years of ABAP development experience, ideally in an S/4HANA context
- Foundational knowledge of ABAP syntax, OOP principles, and Clean Core concepts
- Exposure to at least one RICEFW object type (reports, enhancements, forms, interfaces)
- Ability to collaborate with functional consultants and work within a structured delivery team
- Bachelor's degree or Diploma (D3/D4) in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
Nice to have:
- Awareness of CDS Views, RAP model, or ABAP Test Cockpit
- SAP BTP interface or workflow exposure
- Experience in a formal greenfield S/4HANA implementation environment (e.g. at a consulting firm)
This role suits a motivated early-career ABAP developer who wants to build their consulting foundation on a real enterprise S/4HANA programme — and who is comfortable working under close supervision in a disciplined, fast-paced delivery environment.
