At Nicoll Curtin, a premier recruitment agency specialized in connecting top-tier tech talent with industry leaders, we are currently seeking an Application Support Engineer to join the Software Engineering team of one of our major clients.

Our client is a vital organization engaged in providing essential national services and infrastructure support. In this role, you will have the unique opportunity to collaborate on a high-impact, brand-new implementation of a Field Service Management project.

What You Will Do:

As an Application Support Engineer, you will provide a dynamic service by identifying and solving complex issues within multiple components of critical business systems. You will act as a subject matter expert, collaborate with and manage the team to perform effectively, take responsibility for team decisions, and engage with multiple cross-functional teams to contribute to key decisions and solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Issue Resolution: Analyze complex software issues and develop effective solutions to maintain system stability and performance.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and support of business-critical applications.

  • Knowledge Sharing: Lead efforts to document troubleshooting processes and share knowledge to enhance overall team capabilities.

  • Risk Management: Proactively identify potential system risks and recommend improvements to prevent future disruptions.

  • Continuous Improvement: Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by evaluating new tools and technologies relevant to application support.

Key Requirements:

  • Expert Proficiency (Required): Strong, proven expertise in ESRI ArcGIS.

  • Advanced Proficiency (Suggested): Experience with ServiceNow Field Service Management is highly preferred.

  • Leadership & Collaboration: Ability to manage and guide a team, take ownership of collective decisions, and provide solutions across multiple departments.
