- Manage end-to-end client onboarding, account opening, and periodic review processes for corporate and institutional clients, ensuring compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
- Provide guidance and advisory support to front office and relationship management teams on AML, KYC, source of wealth, and client documentation matters.
- Review and validate client onboarding files, KYC records, and supporting documentation to ensure completeness, accuracy, and compliance standards are met.
- Act as a key point of coordination across stakeholders including compliance, financial crime, operations, legal, and business teams to facilitate timely onboarding and review outcomes.
- Support complex client cases involving sophisticated account structures, enhanced due diligence requirements, and higher-risk onboarding scenarios.
- Monitor onboarding and review pipelines, track outstanding requirements, and proactively escalate issues or delays to relevant stakeholders.
- Coordinate pre-screening activities, sanctions checks, transaction monitoring support, and other financial crime control processes where required.
- Drive process improvement initiatives to enhance onboarding efficiency, client experience, operational controls, and service delivery standards.
- Partner with technology, operations, and transformation teams to support workflow enhancements, automation initiatives, and process optimisation projects.
- Participate in client discussions and stakeholder meetings when required to support onboarding, remediation, or documentation-related matters.
- Ensure adherence to service level agreements, governance frameworks, and risk management standards across all onboarding and periodic review activities.
- Support remediation and uplift initiatives for existing client records to ensure ongoing compliance with evolving regulatory expectations.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Law, Risk Management, or a related discipline preferred.
- At least 5 years of experience in client onboarding, KYC, AML, client lifecycle management, or financial crime operations within banking or financial services.
- Strong knowledge of AML, KYC, source of wealth/source of funds assessments, sanctions screening, and client due diligence processes.
- Experience supporting onboarding and periodic review activities for corporate, institutional, or private banking clients.
- Familiarity with complex client structures, regulatory documentation requirements, and enhanced due diligence procedures.
- Strong understanding of financial crime compliance standards and regulatory expectations within banking environments.
- Proven ability to manage multiple stakeholders across front office, compliance, legal, operations, and risk teams.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and deliver within tight timelines.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management capabilities, including the ability to advise senior business stakeholders on compliance-related matters.
- Experience working with workflow tools, onboarding platforms, or case management systems is advantageous.
- Process improvement mindset with the ability to identify operational inefficiencies and recommend practical solutions.
