We are working with a leading global financial services organisation seeking an experienced Cloud Platform Delivery & Operations Lead to support a high-performing Identity & Access Management (IAM) Cloud Engineering team.

 

This is a highly visible role operating at the intersection of platform delivery, release coordination, and strategic execution, supporting critical cybersecurity infrastructure in a complex enterprise environment.

The Role

You will work closely with senior engineering stakeholders and a specialist cloud engineering team, driving both operational delivery excellence and strategic initiatives across platform stability, release management, and process improvement.

This role is particularly suited to someone who thrives in a structured, process-driven environment and enjoys coordinating across multiple teams to deliver high-impact outcomes.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Own and drive platform backlog management and prioritisation across multiple engineering teams
  • Coordinate multi-team releases within a structured and process-led environment
  • Run Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, backlog grooming, and delivery tracking
  • Ensure consistent delivery cadence and remove blockers across teams
  • Lead release coordination and change management, including alignment with enterprise governance processes
  • Provide clear visibility on progress, risks, and delivery status
  • Support improvements in platform scalability, resilience, and efficiency
  • Delegate and organise work across a small team of cloud and pipeline engineers

 

Required Experience

  • 4+ years’ experience in cloud platform delivery, programme management, or release coordination
  • Strong exposure to cloud infrastructure (Azure preferred)
  • Proven experience managing backlogs, prioritisation, and Agile delivery
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and platform operations
  • Hands-on experience with tools such as JIRA, ServiceNow, Confluence, and Azure DevOps

  • Experience modernizing legacy scripting or reporting platforms
