Overview

An internaitonal financial institution is seeking a Network Manager to join its IT team in the US and play a key role in stabilizing and modernizing network infrastructure. This role requires a hands-on technical expert with strong experience in network engineering, security, and automation.

The ideal candidate is someone who can both manage and execute—owning infrastructure while proactively preventing issues through automation and monitoring.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain enterprise network infrastructure, including firewalls, switches, and perimeter defenses
  • Design and implement secure, scalable network architectures, including zero-trust frameworks
  • Monitor system performance and deploy observability tools to detect and resolve issues proactively
  • Perform root cause analysis and eliminate recurring incidents through automation
  • Support infrastructure upgrades, installations, and ongoing maintenance
  • Collaborate with a small IT team (including help desk and applications support)
  • Ensure compliance with security, audit, and regulatory requirements
  • Maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans

Required Experience & Skills

  • Strong hands-on experience managing enterprise networks and infrastructure
  • Expertise with:
    • Cisco networking equipment
    • Firewalls and network security
    • Perimeter defense and zero-trust architecture
  • Experience implementing monitoring/observability tools
  • Proven ability to automate infrastructure processes and reduce manual intervention
  • Strong troubleshooting and root-cause analysis skills
  • Familiarity with enterprise environments including:
    • Windows Server, Oracle, IBM AIX

Preferred

  • Experience in financial services or regulated environments
  • Scripting or automation experience (e.g., PowerShell, Python, or similar)

Team Structure

  • Reports to Head of IT
  • Works within a lean 3-person technical team

Additional Details

  • Interview process: virtual first round, followed by in-person interviews
  • Role supports U.S. operations only
  • Full-time, onsite requirement (no remote work)
