- Lead and support environmental permitting, compliance, and risk management activities across infrastructure and network development projects within APAC.
- Manage environmental due diligence, impact assessments, and regulatory approval processes throughout the project lifecycle.
- Support both terrestrial and marine infrastructure projects, including coordination across investment, development, construction, and operational phases.
- Identify and assess environmental and regulatory risks that may impact project delivery, timelines, or operations.
- Ensure compliance with environmental obligations, permit conditions, and relevant regional or international regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate with cross-functional stakeholders including project management, engineering, construction, operations, legal, policy, communications, and HSE teams.
- Review and provide guidance to external consultants and technical specialists on environmental studies, permitting strategies, and compliance matters.
- Communicate environmental requirements, risks, and approvals clearly to internal project teams and stakeholders.
- Develop and support environmental awareness initiatives, internal guidance materials, and training programs.
- Contribute to the ongoing development and improvement of environmental governance and sustainability programs across the business.
- Support multiple concurrent projects and stakeholder engagements across the APAC region.
- Participate in site visits, stakeholder meetings, and regional project discussions as required.
- Requirements
- Degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Planning, or a related discipline.
- Significant experience in environmental permitting, compliance, environmental impact assessments, or regulatory approvals within APAC.
- Strong understanding of environmental regulations and permitting processes related to infrastructure, utilities, telecom, or large-scale development projects.
- Experience managing environmental risks across project development and delivery lifecycles.
- Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to coordinate across internal teams, external consultants, regulators, vendors, and project partners.
- Strong organizational, communication, and project coordination capabilities.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities in fast-paced environments.
- Comfortable handling confidential or commercially sensitive information.
- Self-driven, detail-oriented, and able to work both independently and collaboratively.
- Proficiency with project management and data management tools/platforms.
- Willingness to travel regionally or internationally when required.
Preferred Experience
- Experience supporting telecom, subsea, utilities, marine, or other major infrastructure projects.
- Familiarity with marine and coastal environmental considerations.
- Experience working on projects involving multiple stakeholders, investment partners, or regional coordination.
