Are you an experienced Securities Transfer Specialist with strong knowledge of securities settlement and post-trade operations?

 

We are currently supporting a leading financial institution with a requirement for a Securities Transfer Specialist to join its operations team in Zurich.

 

Responsibilities

  • Process, instruct and monitor global free-of-payment (FOP) securities transfers across equities, bonds and standard investment funds.
  • Issue settlement instructions to domestic and international custodians and central securities depositories.
  • Work with SWIFT MT540–MT543 messages and other settlement communication channels.
  • Monitor outstanding transactions and proactively resolve pending settlements, discrepancies and settlement issues.
  • Investigate settlement breaks, including position differences, transaction taxes and fees.
  • Perform related booking and reconciliation activities.
  • Communicate with counterparties, custodians and internal stakeholders regarding settlement-related matters.
  • Manage inquiries and claims via email, shared mailbox and telephone hotline.
  • Support the allocation and coordination of daily team activities.

 

Requirements

  • Detailed knowledge of securities settlement and post-trade operations.
  • Mandatory hands-on expertise with SWIFT MT540, MT541, MT542 and MT543.
  • Experience handling settlement discrepancies, reconciliations and post-trade issues.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills.
  • Fluent German and English.
  • Experience with SIS Portal, BBH Infuse and Clearstream Xact (CBL Xact) is advantageous.
