About the Role
A leading organization is seeking an Operations Analyst II to support the Operations Line 1B (Ops L1B) function in driving risk, control, governance, and regulatory initiatives across the Operations department.
This role partners closely with Ops L1B Country Leads and stakeholders across multiple operational functions to strengthen operational risk management, support regulatory reporting requirements, and contribute to remediation and control improvement programs.
Key Responsibilities
• Support Ops L1B Country Leads in the execution of key risk and control initiatives across Operations
• Assist in the delivery of the Operations Line 1B program, including:
- Risk and Control Self-Assessments (RCSA)
- Incident management activities
- Audit preparation and coordination
- Quality Assurance (QA) and complaints reporting
- Risk awareness initiatives
- Corrective action plan monitoring and tracking
- Reporting of key risk and audit issues
- Governance-related activities
• Collaborate with regional teams to support control testing activities and evaluate the design and operating effectiveness of key operational controls
• Support ad hoc projects and facilitate workshops related to current-state assessments, End User Computing Systems (EUCS), and Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) reviews and updates
• Provide assistance for newly introduced programs, including Operational Resilience initiatives for critical operations and Records Management programs
• Support quarterly clear desk inspection activities
• Manage annual FATCA and CRS reporting submissions to IRAS and perform related remediation activities in accordance with regulatory requirements
Requirements
• University degree with a minimum of 4 years of experience in risk management and/or insurance operations controls
• Good understanding of insurance operational processes and/or operational risk management principles
• Strong knowledge of key operational processes and an appreciation of how process gaps or control weaknesses can contribute to operational risk
• Proven ability to plan, coordinate, and execute initiatives while effectively managing competing priorities
• Strong stakeholder management and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence both senior leaders and middle management through practical, business-focused recommendations
• Self-motivated and capable of working independently with minimal supervision
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and diligent in managing responsibilities and deliverables
• Awareness of external and global developments that may introduce risks or threats to the organization
• Excellent English communication skills, including written, verbal, and listening abilities
