My client is a leading global Investment Bank seeking an experienced VP-level Project Manager to join the Markets Pre-Trade Change Delivery Technology team.
 
The role is responsible for overseeing the BA/PM function for APAC Prime & Cash Equities trading technology, covering all projects in the space. The successful candidate will be the key SME within Technology across Prime & Equities Cash trading platforms, interfacing with Trading desks, Market Risk, Compliance, Middle Office, and front-to-back Technology teams. Other responsibilities will include: 

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with Business and Tech Leads to understand strategic target architecture for the trading platform
  • Ensure compliance with internal and external controls/regulatory policies including Global Electronic Trading policy.
  • Partner with Tech leads to drive application backlogs/sprint plans while providing robust frameworks to ensure timely and high-class delivery by the Development and QA teams 
  • Implement state of the art project delivery standards and structures across all books of work
  • Design and deliver process improvements and ensure consistent project management and business analysis task structure are in place across deliveries.
  • Own setup and maintenance of central repository for requirements.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineer, or related field.
  • Minimum 15 years' experience working on front-office trading platforms in reputable financial institutions. 
  • In-depth knowledge of front-to-back Equity trading flows and processes
  • Good understanding of Asian exchange connectivity & market micro-structure, and solid experience with low-latency DMA trading platforms
  • Ability to write high-quality Business Requirement Documents and Functional Specs that are clear and concise enough for front office traders, functional stakeholders and developers to follow
  • Ability to build strong relationships with the Front Office, Operations, Compliance and Technology
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills, written and oral.

  • Ensure quality through end-to-end development lifecycle management, including testing and documentation.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 5+ years of proven SAP BW/4HANA development experience, including modelling of ADSOs and transformations.

  • Strong expertise in data modelling, ABAP programming, CDS views, and HANA calculation views.

  • Knowledge of SAP FSDM and SAP PaPM is a plus.

  • Solid understanding of finance, reporting, and data structures within the banking domain.

  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

  • Ability to work independently and in a team, with strong stakeholder engagement skills.

  • Entrepreneurial mindset with ownership and accountability for deliverables.

  • Fluent in English; German language skills are an advantage.

  • Master’s degree in economics, business administration, banking, quantitative finance, (business) informatics, data science, or a related field.
