A Global Entertainment Technology MNC is hiring a Content Analyst.
THIS IS AN initial 6-month CONTRACT ROLE WITH STRONG OPPORTUNITIES OF EXTENSION OR CONVERSION TO FULL TIME.
In this role, you'll immerse yourself in Movies, Series, Documentaries, and more to extract meaningful metadata and insights. Your work will directly power the AI-driven recommendation engine that helps users get more tailored content which they’ll love.
Your insights will directly influence the future of content personalization.
Responsibilities:
- Watch, consume and analyze content across movies, series, documentaries, animation, and more — deeply understanding what makes each title unique.
- Label and tag content with structured metadata (e.g. themes, mood, pace, audience) to support AI and algorithm-based recommendations.
- Summarize content insights clearly and objectively — think of it as helping someone understand a show/film/song in a few key points without watching it.
- Collaborate across teams on projects that use content tagging to improve user experience, personalize content suggestions, and train AI algorithms.
- Use internal tools and data systems (like Airtable or Google Sheets) to manage and organize large libraries of content.
- Stay current with trends in entertainment and ensure the way content is analyzed reflects global viewing preferences.
Minimum Requirements
- Prior experience in media, journalism, content analysis, or roles like Content Specialist, Metadata Analyst, or AI training and labeling.
- Strong passion for entertainment, with deep knowledge of global content and the Hollywood entertainment space.
- Sharp ability to recognize and explain narrative structure, genre differences, and thematic nuances in a clear and concise way.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment with tight deadlines and high-quality expectations.
- Must have software experience in using tools such as Airtable, Google Sheets, or other content/data management platforms.
- Experience handling large content catalogs or databases is a plus.
- SQL or Tableau good to have
- Fluency in English is essential; proficiency in an additional APAC language (e.g. Tagalog, Japanese, Korean, Thai, Bahasa Indonesia, or Mandarin) is a must have.
