I have a role with a financial services client of mine based in Galway, and they are looking for a hands on Director of Full-stack Engineering to come in and join their team. There will be no direct reports and the main focus of this position would be to give technical leadership to multiple teams.

The role will involve responsibilities such as Strategy/PlanningCoaching/Mentoring & Hands - on Engineering/Design/Architecture.

The salary will be a maximum of €105k + 30% bonus on top of that. The role will also be hybrid, with a requirement to be in the office 1 full week in the month (3 weeks fully remote).

Key Skills:
  • Over 8 years of practical experience working as a full-stack software engineer
  • Advanced proficiency in core programming languages and frameworks including Java, Angular, and Spring
  • Well-versed in every phase of the software development lifecycle
  • Specialized in architecting, developing, and maintaining high-volume transactional systems
  • Proven ability to create responsive front-end interfaces using TypeScript, Angular, and Node.js
  • Strong background in developing service-oriented applications with Java, Spring, and Apache Camel

What You Bring

  • Lead and execute security assessments on web and mobile platforms.
  • Emulate attacker behaviour to identify and demonstrate real-world risks.
  • Communicate findings clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with development and operations teams to remediate vulnerabilities.
  • Contribute to internal tooling and research efforts to enhance testing capabilities.
  • Stay informed on emerging threats, tools, and techniques in the cybersecurity field.
