My client is a leading global FinTech and Blockchain company expanding rapidly in Asia, currently seeking a General Counsel to be based in Hong Kong. This is a global role wherein the successful candidate will serve as a key member of the executive leadership team, advising the CEO and the board on legal risks, opportunities, and business strategy.


Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement the firm's legal and compliance roadmap in alignment with business objectives, while driving corporate governance. 
  • Lead all aspects of M&A, joint ventures, investments, and strategic partnerships. Oversee drafting/review of complex agreements and advise on capital markets, fundraising, and corporate restructuring.
  • Manage high-stakes litigation, arbitration, investigations, and disputes and develop strategies to minimize legal exposure and reputational risk.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations data privacy, anti-corruption and industry-specific laws, liaising with regulators representing the firm in regulatory inquiries.
  • Oversee contracting, ensuring risk-appropriate terms, and advise on intellectual property, employment law, and cross-border operations.
  • Build and lead a high-performing legal team (hiring, mentoring, and developing talent). Optimize legal operations and foster cross-functional collaboration with Finance, HR, and other business teams.
Requirements
  • At least 15 years of legal experience, including minimum 5 years as a GC, Head of Legal, or senior legal leader in a financial institution, multinational corporation, or top-tier law firm.
  • LLB/LLM/JD or equivalent with a deep expertise in M&A, JVs, and corporate transactions, litigation and regulatory investigations, and financial regulations Solid experience in managing legal teams, influence C-suite/board decisions, and align legal strategy with business goals.
  • A strategic thinker who can balance legal risks with growth objectives and pre-empt legal and business challenges.
  • An exceptional negotiator who is decisive under pressure, with exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.

In this IT Procurement Manager job, you will initially be taking care of maternity cover for the existing IT Sourcing Manager, who is predominantly responsible for leading IT Professional Services procurement. The role is hands on in the sense that you will be actively leading end to end sourcing initiatives for IT Services (RFI/RFP/RFQ, contract negotiation and supplier selection) as well as getting your hands dirty with analysing and driving spend and contracts. As aforementioned, whilst the focus is on professional services, you will be jumping into IT software and IT hardware procurement tasks as well.
 
You are expected to have worked in a similar role within an international environment, in terms of having performed real IT Professional Services procurement and alongside this have a good grasp of IT.
 
The team are international and as such the business language is English, any additional German skills are a nice to have but not essential. The team also operate a 3 days in the office and 2 days from home policy - so it is important you are comfortable with this set up.
 
Although an initial 10 month contract, there is a high probability of extension depending on your performance.

Our client is looking for a Technical Project Manager to support the continuous expansion of their global network infrastructure. They're looking for a proactive and structured PM able to manage multiple projects concurrently.

 

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate critical milestones for essential backbone infrastructure
  • Oversee end-to-end capacity activations, encompassing subsea capacity integration with backhaul systems and routers, ensuring timely availability of site space and power, equipment installation, terrestrial fiber extensions, cross-connects, etc.
  • Define tasks, identify interdependencies, and allocate resources to ensure timely project delivery.
  • Lead projects from initial requirements definition to deployment, including developing schedules, scopes and implementation plans, along with risk mitigation strategies.
  • Follow-up and coordinate both internal and external resources to maintain adherence to project scope and schedules.
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams and external partners, ensuring capacity turnup projects are managed systematically and completed punctually

  • Analyze project status and adjust scope or schedule as needed to meet project requirements.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with relevant stakeholders, serving as the daily point of contact for project status updates and changes.
  • Communicate project outcomes and potential risks to appropriate management channels, escalating issues in line with the project work plan when necessary.

 

Qualifications

  • At least 5 years of project management experience within the telecom infrastructure sector.
  • Proven background in optical transmission and/or fiber networks, end-to-end service activation or service delivery experience preferably in a carrier or capacity user environment.
  • Familiarity with network infrastructure concepts and building blocks related to submarine cables, terrestrial fiber networks, DWDM, routers, collocation services, space and power, capacity lease services, equipment installation and commissioning, network management, DCN, cross-connects, cabling, ODFs, etc.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong in fostering relationships and collaborating effectively within cross-functional teams.
  • Proactive and skilled at early escalation when necessary.
  • Certification (e.g., PMP) or a demonstrated track record in project management techniques and tools.
