Are you an experienced Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC) professional who enjoys working close to the business, advising senior stakeholders, and strengthening risk awareness across an organization?
We are supporting a well-established Swiss accident insurance provider with a strong digital and future-oriented mindset, in hiring a Governance, Risk & Compliance Officer (40–60%) based in Zurich / Lausanne (hybrid).
In this role, you will ensure regulatory compliance, proactively identify risks, and further develop the company-wide risk management and internal control frameworks in line with FINMA requirements.
Key responsibilities:

Monitor compliance with legal, regulatory, and internal requirements

Develop, implement, and maintain compliance policies and employee training programs

Maintain and evolve the enterprise risk management framework, including risk appetite and strategy

Identify, assess, and manage risks, including risk analyses and mitigation measures

Organize and further develop the Internal Control System (ICS) based on the Three Lines of Defence model

Advise Executive Management and the Board of Directors and prepare clear, structured reporting
Required background:

Degree in law, business law, business administration, or similar

Several years of experience in compliance and risk management, ideally in insurance or financial services

Strong understanding of Swiss regulatory topics (e.g. AML, data protection, insurance regulation)

Analytical, structured, and independent working style

Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

Languages: German (very good), English (fluent), French is an advantage
