My client a leading global systematic trading firm is seeking a Head of Execution Trading Asia to be based in Singapore to lead the team responsible for handling trade execution for the firm's strategies in global financial markets.

Responsibilities 

  • Be responsible for execution across Equities, FX, Futures and other asset classes
  • Lead a team responsible for automated execution flows and pursue improvements to reduce the cost of implementing models
  • Advise on algorithmic execution methods for Asia markets through an understanding of the underlying market structure and broker offerings
  • Analyse large datasets to guide further automation and refine of execution processes
  • Interface directly with portfolio managers, brokers, and senior management, compliance, risk teams, etc.
  • Capable of responding quickly in a fast paced and challenging environment
  • Create solutions for complex trading problems

Requirements

  • Degree in a quantitative or technical field from a top tier institution
  • At least 8 years of experience in a similar capacity
  • Hands-on experience working with multiple asset classes e.g. electronic equities, FX and Futures trading
  • Solid understanding of financial markets - understand how markets work and be able to recommend best in class execution methodology
  • Considerable experience in dealing with compliance and local regulatory requirements
  • Experience in SQL required, Python coding experience a strong plus

  • Capable of blending strategic vision with grounded pragmatism.
