This additional hire will suit a Technical Project Manager or Technical Business Analyst looking to step up into a PM role. The successful candidate will have in-depth experience working on cutting-edge tech implementation projects and programmes within the finance industry.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end delivery of the platform, from requirements and documentation through design, testing, and production rollout.

• Create and maintain project documentation across all phases, including requirements, solution artefacts, governance materials, and status reports, in line with project and compliance standards.

• Coordinate cross-functional delivery across Engineering, Solution Architecture, UI/UX, SRE and Testing

• Manage multiple projects in parallel, balancing priorities, dependencies, and resources while maintaining delivery quality.

• Proactively resolve or escalate risks and issues using established governance and escalation processes to minimise delivery impact.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field with at least 5 years of experience managing/delivering technology projects

• Solid hands-on experience in Agile delivery, including requirements gathering and cross-team collaboration.

• Experience with MS SQL, RESTful APIs, Git and DevOps tools or practices, with the ability to engage effectively with engineering teams and understand solution designs.

• Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to manage expectations and communicate clearly.

• Proven documentation skills, including project status reports and user stories, with close attention to detail, and the ability to contribute insights that support delivery excellence and continuous improvement.

My client, a leading international institution in Hong Kong is seeking a Data savvy Finance Manager to join their expanding team in Hong Kong. 

Responsibilities 

• Continuously track business performance against targets through core KPIs.

• Develop financial models and business cases to support new products and projects funding approval.

• Keep track of financial performance and conduct post implementation review.

• Highlight emerging performance issues, including variances caused by system behaviour or unexpected market dynamics.

• Provide actionable insights to support timely management decisions and strategic adjustments to facilitate business growth.

• Develop and maintain databases to meet business needs and ensure data accuracy and availability.

• Perform data mining and analysis to support ad-hoc analytical tasks, incident management and strategic programmes.

• Collaborate with IT and other stakeholders to specify user and business requirements for system development.

• Assist the Team Lead in monitoring progress identify potential risks or bottlenecks and propose solutions.

Requirements 

• Degree in  Business Administration / Accounting / Finance Master's degree is a plus

• Professional qualifications such as Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Chartered Accountant are preferred

• Minimum of 5 years experience in Finance, Data Analysis, Data Mining, or related disciplines

• Strong proficiency in SQL for data querying and analysis

• Hands‑on experience with BI tools, including Tableau or Power BI

• Proficiency in data wrangling using Python or Alteryx is a plus

• Experience in streamlining workflows and automating reports and financial models, with a proficiency in database structures

• Manage high-level requirement analysis phases through to various project delivery phases, including testing and deployment.
• Participate in solution design and development review with Delivery, Platform, and SME teams or any necessary stakeholders.

• University degree in Information Technology/Systems, Computer Science / Engineering or related disciplines.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Technical Business Analyst role. 
• Technical firsthand experience in configuration, script, data patch, data import and cleansing, technical analysis, debugging, troubleshooting and DevOps.
• Experience and programming competency to conduct data queries and analysis using SQL / scripts etc.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and workflows, (Azure DevOps, Jira, Git), code review, familiar with release management processes, automation testing (test driven development approach)
• Knowledge of securities systems, or financial market operations, or Agile scrum methodology
• Working knowledge of the Microsoft platform Windows OS, SQL Server, IIS or similar web servers, and Visual Studio will be a plus.
• Shell programming/object-oriented and multi-threading programming skills, experience with C#, PowerShell will be a plus
• Japanese speaking/listening/reading/writing capability, if non-Japanese, JLPT 1 is necessary qualification.

This additional hire will suit a candidate who can Lead platform delivery and provide strategic solutions to multiple business lines and simultaneously engage with global C-suite stakeholders and cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities
 

• Own and be responsible for Functional and Non-Functional features, from elicitation and documentation to solutioning, testing and delivery.
• Act as the communication bridge for project requirement; managing stakeholder communications, status reporting, risks and scope.
• Liaise with Business, IT/Engineering, Audit and Compliance, conduct requirement workshop or training, if required.
• Align the needs of business with existing platform features; facilitate discussions with UI/UX Design teams, Engineering teams to identify pain points and provide recommendations.
• Align technology with business strategy and goals by being at the core of all project interactions.

Requirements
 

• University degree in Information Technology/Systems, Computer Science / Engineering or related disciplines.
• 8 - 10 years of experience in Business/ Solution Analysis, Project Management and/or Product Management.
• Strong relationship management skills to effectively influence and lead multiple levels of an organisation, with a particular ability to manage C-level expectations.
• Solid documentation skills with experience in writing user stories, business requirement documents and functional specifications documents.
  Fluency both in English and Japanese, written and spoken is mandatory.
• Hands on technical experience in SQL, Scripting and/or Application Development, experience with Behavioural Driven Development and Automation Testing will be advantageous.
• Understanding of financial markets including Wealth Management products and trade flows (such as Funds, ETFs, Stocks), Asian Regulatory understanding will be a bonus.

• Collaborate with Business and Tech Leads to understand strategic target architecture for the trading platform
• Ensure compliance with internal and external controls/regulatory policies including Global Electronic Trading policy.
• Partner with Tech leads to drive application backlogs/sprint plans while providing robust frameworks to ensure timely and high-class delivery by the Development and QA teams 
• Implement state of the art project delivery standards and structures across all books of work
• Design and deliver process improvements and ensure consistent project management and business analysis task structure are in place across deliveries.

• Liaise with prime brokers, fund administrator and system vendors on break resolution
• Cash management - margin and collateral, facilitating payments
• Monitor short positions and fulfil disclosure obligations

• Weekly NAV estimates
• Point of liaison with prime brokers and fund administrator
• NAV and P/L review, ensure accuracy of accounting entries against fund administrator
• Checker of monthly fund valuation
• Calculating investor and distributor fee rebates

• Monitor fund capital activities
• Streamline operations process, look for deficiencies and improvements.
• Work along with Risk and Finance on operations control and annual fund audit
• Ad-hoc projects (e.g. investors due diligence, broker onboarding)

• Degree holder in Accounting and Finance or related discipline
• 3-6 years of relevant work experience in Fund Accounting and/or Hedge Fund Operations
• Basic understanding of financial products (Options, Fixed Income, Swaps, NDFs)
• Solid knowledge/experience with PMS systems, proficient in Microsoft Office, with Python skills being highly beneficial
• Highly motivated with a “can do” attitude, ability to multi-task and innovative, with great attention to detail.
