Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deploy machine learning models using supervised and unsupervised learning techniques.

  • Apply outlier and anomaly detection methods to improve risk monitoring and business decision-making.

  • Work with large, complex datasets to deliver actionable insights for high-stakes projects.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (business, technology, and compliance) to translate requirements into data-driven solutions.

  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of data science practices and methodologies within the team.

Requirements:

  • 5–8 years of hands-on data science experience in a banking or financial services setting.

  • Strong expertise in machine learning (supervised, unsupervised, anomaly detection).

  • Proficiency in Python, R, SQL, and modern ML libraries (e.g., Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch).

  • Analytical mindset with experience handling large and complex datasets.

  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills to explain models and insights clearly.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in banking, financial crime, AML/KYC, or network link analytics.

  • Knowledge of MAS/HKMA AML/CFT regulatory requirements.

  • Familiarity with cloud data platforms and MLOps practices.
