The hiring client is a Global Technology Company seeking a Procurement Specialist to handle budget managment and management of the end-to-end purchasing process.
Responsibilities
- Support the APAC Public Policy and Programs teams with procurement-related tasks, including contract guidance, sourcing, and third-party evaluations.
- Create and manage purchase orders using internal procurement tools and monitor their progress until completion.
- Oversee the manual onboarding process for new suppliers and vendors.
- Serve as the primary contact for vendor queries, addressing concerns, and coordinating with Procure-to-Pay (P2P) teams to resolve invoice or payment issues.
- Act as the main point of contact and escalation for APAC-related queries with central internal teams.
- Ensure adherence to purchasing and finance best practices.
- Collaborate with managers to complete Statement of Work (SOW) documents as required by the contract team.
- Partner with Accounts Payable to address and resolve issues with invoices.
- Work closely with Finance to manage projected expenditures, ensuring monthly accrual accuracy and supporting quarterly budget reallocations.
- Analyze financial reports and provide monthly budget updates to management, ensuring teams remain within spending targets.
- Assist teams in preparing quarterly budget forecasts.
- Provide administrative support, customized reporting, and execute ad hoc projects as needed.
Minimum Qualifications
- Proven experience in purchasing and budget management.
- Proficiency in English; knowledge of an additional language is a plus.
- Advanced skills in Excel and Outlook.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively across all organizational levels.
- Demonstrated project management expertise, particularly managing multiple projects simultaneously in various stages of completion.
- High level of professionalism and integrity, capable of handling confidential information.
- Team-oriented, highly motivated, and able to perform effectively under pressure.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
- Experience working across functions and consulting with internal business stakeholders.
- Proven ability to drive change and improve end-to-end processes.
