Our client, a leading financial services organization, is looking for an expert to support them in supplier management and procurement operations.
As a Procurement / Purchasing Consultant, you will provide expertise in the domain of procurement, supplier onboarding, contract management, and operational purchasing.
Setting:
As part of the team, you will focus on providing the best possible solutions in procurement operations, working closely with internal stakeholders and suppliers to ensure smooth and compliant processes.
Focus:
- Creation and maintenance of suppliers in the procurement platform
- Independently obtaining, evaluating, and negotiating prices and quotes up to a defined monetary threshold, as well as managing small to medium-sized procurements
- Operational review, preparation, approval, and execution of contracts
- Reviewing, processing, and completing purchase orders and digitally releasing them to suppliers (SAP SRM / e-Shop)
- Responding to inquiries regarding orders from internal teams and suppliers
- Helpdesk and company-wide operational procurement support
- Operational management of various buying channels/tools, including procurement catalogs
- Training and maintaining knowledge and process documentation related to the ordering process and procurement platforms
Background / Required Experience:
- Initial work experience, preferably in indirect procurement (ideally in the financial industry)
- Independent and structured working style, proactive and team-oriented
- Negotiation skills (internal and external)
- Sociable, communicative, and open-minded personality
- Resilient and versatile personality
- Loyal and discreet
- IT affinity, particularly strong MS Office skills
- Holistic process thinking and structured, analytical approach
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in German, and good skills in English
Duration: This is a 12 month engagement with an option of internalisation.
