A major SAP S/4HANA implementation programme in Indonesia is looking for a SAP Basis Manager to lead the Basis workstream end-to-end. This is a leadership role — you will own the technical landscape design, govern Basis standards across the team, serve as the primary technical Basis lead with the client, and be accountable for workstream delivery quality and timeline.
Key responsibilities:
- Lead the Basis workstream across the full programme lifecycle — from landscape setup through go-live and hyper-care
- Own technical landscape architecture decisions: system sizing, transport route design, security architecture, and DR strategy
- Manage a team of Basis consultants (Senior Associates and Associates) — task allocation, capacity planning, and quality review
- Serve as the primary client-facing Basis lead: attend steering committees, handle technical escalations, and manage client IT relationships
- Define and enforce Basis standards, runbooks, and operational procedures across the programme
- Oversee patching, upgrade, and system copy activities with full accountability for outcomes
- Coach and develop junior team members; contribute to PwC SAP practice building
Requirements:
- 6–9 years of SAP Basis experience, including demonstrated team or workstream lead accountability
- Deep expertise in S/4HANA landscape design and HANA DB administration
- Proven experience as a Basis lead on an SAP implementation programme (not only managed services)
- Experience managing client relationships at a technical lead or IT management level
- Strong knowledge of SAP Solution Manager or Cloud ALM for programme-level change management
Nice to have:
- SAP RISE or cloud migration experience (on-premise to SAP RISE)
- HANA system replication and high-availability configuration experience
- SAP BTP exposure
- SAP Basis certification
This role is for an experienced Basis professional who has moved beyond individual execution into genuine workstream leadership — comfortable owning architecture decisions, managing a team, and holding the technical relationship with a senior client counterpart.
