My client is a leading, global HFT crypto trading firm, currently expanding its footprint in Asia, with numerous hires in their trading team in Hong Kong. As part of that expansion, they are seeking a Senior Operations Manager to build and manage the team. Reporting to the COO you will be responsible for the following

Responsibilities 
  • Build and lead the team responsible for Trade Bookings, P&L, Reconciliations, and Settlements.
  • Oversee Liquidity, Margin, Collateral, and Capital Allocation across multiple exchanges, DeFI trading venues, trading partners, custodians, and banks.
  • With a solid understanding of on/off-exchange trade requirements, you will build seamless processes, automate repetitive steps, and setup training.
  • Partner with Trading, Finance, and Risk to validate flows end-to-end, improve visibility, and deliver accurate, timely reporting.
  • Hire, coach, and oversee the team, define KPIs, setting an extremely high standards in relation to order, accuracy, reliability, and speed.
Requirements
  • Degree holder in Finance/Business or related field from a highly reputable University
  • 5+ years of experience in Trading Operations, Settlements from a leading Financial Institution or crypto trading firm, ideally with experience leading global teams
  • In-depth experience building a distributed operations department providing 24/7 global coverage
  • Solid experience in creating and improving processes while managing daily trading operations, with a proven ability to automate and optimize processes. 
  • A quick thinker with a natural affinity for numbers capable of prioritising efficiently with an ability to navigate an ambiguous and quickly evolving market.
  • A natural affinity to work with multiple stakeholders up and down the organisation
  • Fluency in English with impeccable written and oral communication skills
