Data Engineer

About the Role:

We are looking for a couple of Business Analysts to join our Global Client and contribute to the successful implementation of banking systems. This role requires a strong understanding of banking operations, customer management, and system implementation. Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with business users to validate requirements using use cases during the prototyping phase.
• Conduct activities such as interviews, workshops, document reviews, and shadowing to refine requirements.
• Plan and prepare for system implementation tasks, including Target Operating Model (TOM) development and Business Requirements Document (BRD) creation.
• Monitor user task progress, address issues and risks, and provide resolution support.
• Provide local insights and feedback to project planning efforts in coordination with the Area Project Manager (PM).
• Report regional progress, challenges, and successes to Business Analyst (BA) leads.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in any relevant field.
• Experience on either:

1.Hands-on experience with package system implementation, particularly Flexcube or Duco.

2.Data Governance. Data Mapping.Experience with AI Utilitization. Hands on experience in MS

Access, Excel, Marcos and UIPath (RPA)

• Expertise in customer master data, customer report distribution, reconciliation, and related processes.
• Core Banking experience is a MUST
• A minimum of 5 years’ experience in creating Business Requirement Documents (BRD) and Functional Requirement Documents (FRD).
• Proven track record of successful project implementation, ideally in large-scale projects.
• Willingness to travel within the APAC region to collaborate with Middle- and Back-Office teams.
• Attention to detail with the ability to produce precise and comprehensive documentation

• Build and enhance Power BI reports, tailoring them to meet departmental needs and evolving data structures. Ensure reports are precise, actionable, and aligned with changing business objectives.
• Keep track of modifications in data structures resulting from system updates, evaluating their impact on existing Power BI reports. Adjust and fine-tune reports as necessary to ensure their accuracy and relevance.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of data structures and any changes, supporting future report modifications and serving as a reference for ongoing updates.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Analytics, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.
• At least 3 years of experience developing reports using Power BI.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in IT system implementation projects, including involvement in global Business Process Reengineering (BPR) or system rollout initiatives.
• Experience working in Banking and Financial Services Industry
• Highly proactive, with a passion for learning and a deep understanding of customer business requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• ETL Development: Use Talend to develop, optimize, and maintain ETL workflows for ingesting, processing, and transforming data from a variety of sources.
• Data Pipeline Design: Develop scalable, high-performance data pipelines using Apache Spark and Python for batch and real-time data processing.
• Data Integration: Extract and integrate data from multiple sources such as SQL Server, PostgreSQL, AWS Redshift, and Cloudera.
• Data Quality: Ensure data quality and consistency by building and implementing validation, cleansing, and transformation logic.
• Collaboration: Work closely with data scientists, business analysts, and other stakeholders to understand data requirements and support data-driven decision-making.
• Data Modeling: Assist in designing and developing database tables and schemas, including optimizing the performance of databases like MySQL, PostgreSQL, and NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Cassandra).
• Automation: Automate routine data management tasks using Python scripting, Talend, or other workflow automation tools.
• Troubleshooting & Optimization: Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks, data discrepancies, and pipeline failures.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience with Talend for ETL development.
• Strong proficiency in Spark, SQL and Python
• Extensive experience with Apache Spark for big data processing (both batch and streaming).
• Proficient in working with relational databases (SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL) and non-relational databases (MongoDB, Cassandra).
• Solid understanding of data structures, database design, and data modeling.
